Some journeys can’t be explained — only felt.
I remember the cold, dry winter air, the horizon stretching endless and crisp, and the intensity of possibility pressing against everything I thought I knew. My October trip wasn’t just a change of scenery—it was a major confluence of ideas, fears, hopes, and emotions, each moment carrying its own weight, urging me to embrace growth and surrender to what was unfolding.
Much of my life has been full of extremely difficult situations, and yet this last month, so positive and magical, made me realize how hard it can be to simply let things be. I wanted to grasp it, hold onto it, and in doing so, I found anxiety in releasing it. For the first time, I was truly challenged in ways I never thought possible, confronted with growth, vulnerability, and the discomfort that comes with expansion. I reminded myself: I don’t chase. I attract. What is for me, will come to me.
The days were eventful, the moments deeply connected and profound. I didn’t go to escape; I went to see, to witness, to fully inhabit the challenges and beauty around me. It was about staying present through discomfort, finding meaning in struggle, and learning to accept life exactly as it is.
Vulnerability as Strength
I’ve spent most of my adult life walking people through fear, uncertainty, and transition. As a nurse, I’ve seen how fragile and resilient we can be, sometimes at the same time. That work still grounds me. But somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn’t meant to stop there.
Just as I stand with patients in their moments of vulnerability, I wanted to help people navigate the space between where they are and who they’re becoming. That realization gave birth to Verissimo Coaching—“Very True” in Italian—a reflection of what I stand for: truth, clarity, and purposeful growth, and I received my certification through Jay Shetty’s Certification School.
“Clarity doesn’t come from having all the answers. It comes from asking the right questions—and being brave enough to sit in the silence that follows.”
Moving Through Challenge Without Losing Myself
That trip tested me profoundly. It demanded I move with discomfort, confront uncertainty, and stretch beyond my perceived limits. It was joyful and magical, yes—but also challenging, eventful, and transformative. It was a reminder that everyday requires practice: presence, awareness, effort, and openness. It doesn’t simply stop because you “worked through it.”
Every day asked me to show up differently, to stay connected, and to find beauty in the hard moments. I had to let go of control while staying grounded in myself, learning to trust that growth often looks messy before it feels clear. These lessons now form the backbone of my coaching: guiding clients through change, self-doubt, and the tension of transformation with honesty and lived experience.
Integration: The Life I Live and the Work I Teach
I continue to navigate the worlds of nursing and coaching—both deeply rooted in human transformation. Nursing teaches patience, presence, and the quiet power of witnessing others; coaching teaches clarity, courage, and the art of holding space without providing all the answers. Moving from the role of mentor, knowledge-holder, and fixer as an effective charge nurse to stepping into a space where I ask questions and allow individuals to discover their own path has been profoundly transformative. It revealed how much strength there is in listening, in letting go, and in trusting the process of growth.
Both remind me that presence is the most powerful practice we have. When we show up fully, even in discomfort, life meets us halfway. I have learned to hold challenges without fear, to welcome the unexpected, and to allow beauty to emerge from chaos.
“Growth isn’t about holding on. It’s about being brave enough to let things be what they are—and still choosing to move forward.”
Where I Am Now
I am not who I was before that October. I’m more grounded, awake, and aligned with my values. That intense, magical month reminded me that clarity isn’t certainty—it’s the courage to show up fully in your own life, regardless of the outcome.
Every person I work with teaches me something new about living with intention. Together, we explore the space between who you think you should be and who you really are. And for the first time, I feel that I’m fully walking my own path—not chasing, but attracting what aligns with my truth.
